On 17th May 2025, the IMU School of Dentistry buzzed with energy as dental professionals and students gathered for a transformative Hands-On Workshop titled “Revisiting Indirect Veneers: Ceramic vs Indirect Composite.” Proudly supported by MANI Malaysia, this event provided participants with an immersive opportunity to refine their skills, guided by two of the field’s most respected educators—Prof Lim Tong Wah and Associate Professor James Dudley.
The workshop centered on comparing the techniques and outcomes of ceramic veneers versus indirect composite veneers. Attendees had the chance to engage in practical, step-by-step procedures using state-of-the-art tools—highlighted by the use of MANI dental burs, which played a key role in the precision and performance of each demonstration.

“It was inspiring to see how invested the participants were—not just in learning the techniques, but also in understanding the ‘why’ behind each step,” said one of the organizing faculty members from IMU.
Both Prof Lim and A/Prof Dudley delivered engaging, insightful sessions filled with clinical pearls, hands-on demonstrations, and personalized guidance.
Their combined experience brought clarity to complex procedures and highlighted the real-world differences between ceramic and composite options in restorative dentistry.
MANI Malaysia extends sincere appreciation to IMU University for the collaboration and opportunity to support such an impactful initiative. Events like these reflect our ongoing commitment to empowering future dental professionals through access to high-quality tools and expert-led learning.
As always, we’re proud to stand with the dental community—supporting education, innovation, and excellence every step of the way. 🦷💙
